Wood Composite
Release Agents for Challenges of the Wood Composite and Panel Pressing Industry: LDF, MDF, HDF, PB, OSB, OWB, MDF, HDF
Whether you are operating a continuous press system, a day-light press, or another type of wood molding pressing or finishing operation, there are many variables that affect the quality of your end product and the efficiency of your operation. Most of the products we have developed for this industry are water-based, and all have been tailored to work within a process that is demanding in terms of both chemical, thermal and mechanical attack of the pressing surface.
Chem-Trend has formulated mold release agents to get to the heart of the issue of pMDI resin systems. The actual causes of sticking/buildup have been intensively studied by Chem-Trend chemists, which allowed us to develop products that eliminate the fundamental problem. With our mold release agents, buildup cannot gain a foothold on the pressing surface, ensuring that the manufacturing plant can remain in operation for extended periods of time. Since the release property of these products leads to a pressed article surface that is very smooth and consistent in texture, surface sanding — where necessary — is minimized.
We work with the full gamut of products, including:
- Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF)
- Particleboard
- Oriented Strandboard (OSB)
- Door panels
The wood composite/panel pressing industry tends to be one that makes huge Volumes of products on an almost continuous basis, and Chem-Trend has formulated its products to work in that type of demanding environment. Our products are easy to work with and remain highly stable under processing conditions of both heat and cold. With extensive research and development facilities around the world, we work alongside customers to find custom solutions that work with exacting regulations, varying raw materials, and your unique facilities.
