Chem-Trend will present water-based, PFAS-free release agent solutions for composite materials at JEC World 2024

Munich, 01.02.2024 – Chem-Trend, a company of the Freudenberg Chemical Specialities Group, will present the latest generation of release agents for the composite industry at JEC World in Paris from March 5 to 7, 2024. The company will focus on ecologically sustainable solutions at the world’s largest trade fair for composite materials, which offers companies along the entire value chain a communicative platform. Many release agents of the Chemlease® and Zyvax® brands are characterized by the features “water-based” and “PFAS-free”.

Chem-Trend will highlight its portfolio of water-based release agents at JEC World 2024. The solutions are free of PFAS (per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances) in the latest generation, underscoring Chem-Trend’s commitment to ecologically sustainable technologies. Also, Chem-Trend has recently been awarded the EcoVadis Gold rating in 2023, which is a testament to the company’s steadfast dedication to sustainability and corporate responsibility.

The technological shift away from solvent-based to water-based release agents in the shaping of composite materials is an important contribution of the industry to reducing its own ecological CO2 footprint. Wind energy: solution and challenge in terms of sustainability
