Howell, MI — March 25, 2024 – Chem-Trend, a company of the Freudenberg Chemical Specialities Group and a global leader in the development of high-quality release agents, purging compounds, and other process chemicals and additives, has announced the appointment of their new President and CEO, John Lundin. The former Vice President and General Manager – North America who has been with Chem-Trend since 2002, Lundin steps in for retiring CEO Devanir Moraes.

Lundin takes on the role as Chem-Trend continues its expansion as a global innovator serving a wide range of manufacturing markets, from aerospace and automotive to medical equipment and consumer goods. “For decades, our customers have partnered with us to reduce costs with technology that meets their needs today – and they rely on us to consistently deliver new solutions that keep them ahead of competitors,” says Lundin. “We work to better our customers’ entire operations. “Our exceptional teams – and their unwavering customer-centricity – make this all possible. My passion, which is shared among our leadership, is about making Chem-Trend a global workplace of choice. This vision takes shape by empowering our teams to focus on continuous improvement – in all aspects – so that we can deliver a new era of innovation that serves our customers with increasingly smart and sustainable solutions,” says Lundin.

The start of Lundin’s tenure at Chem-Trend’s helm, which he began as Incoming President and CEO in July of 2023, has brought him to several of the company’s 19 worldwide locations. During his visits, he’s worked to build even stronger connections with employees and gain insight into their daily operations, fostering an inclusive environment where every member of the team feels valued and respected.
